Hotel Marketing Readiness Scan
Enter your website address. We read the public source of your homepage and show which measurement and marketing signals are in place, each one benchmarked against 409 measured hotel websites.
How the score works
The same weighting we use internally to grade properties. A Meta pixel and a Google Ads conversion tag count 2 points each, because each one means you already advertise and can measure it. Tag manager, analytics, a TikTok pixel and WhatsApp contact count 1 point each. 8 points total. Nothing else enters the score.
About the benchmark
The comparison set is 409 hotel and guesthouse websites in Israel, measured from their public homepages in mid 2026. Only aggregate counts are used here; no individual property data is stored on or served from this site.
What this scan reads
Only the public source of your homepage, the same thing any browser downloads. It cannot see server side tagging, your ad accounts, booking engine internals, or tags that load only after a cookie consent banner. A signal marked missing can occasionally be a signal loaded in a way we cannot detect.
What no homepage scan can see
One example from the same dataset: 58% of the measured properties had not received a new Google review in over 90 days, with a median of 118 days since the newest one. Review freshness, answer rates and ad spend are invisible to a page scan, and they move bookings at least as much as pixels do.
Questions
- What does the readiness scan check?
- Six signals in the public source of your homepage: Google Analytics 4, a Meta pixel, Google Tag Manager, a Google Ads conversion tag, a TikTok pixel, and a WhatsApp click-to-chat link. Nothing else enters the score.
- How common are these gaps on hotel websites?
- Common. Of the 409 hotel and guesthouse websites in the benchmark, 52% had no Google Analytics tag, 71% had no Meta pixel, and only 10% carried a Google Ads conversion tag.
- Does the scan store my website data?
- No. The scan reads the same public homepage source any browser downloads and compares it against aggregate benchmark counts. No individual property data is stored on or served from this site.
- Why does the scan say a tag is missing when I installed it?
- The scan reads only the public source of your homepage. Tags loaded server side, inside the booking engine, or only after a cookie consent banner are invisible to it, so a missing mark can occasionally be a tag loading in a way the scan cannot see.
After the scan
A missing tag becomes a number once you attach it to a budget. The ad spend waste estimator takes the same scan and reports how much of your monthly spend cannot be traced to a booking.
When the tags are in place and you start advertising, Meta enforces a minimum daily budget per ad set. The Meta minimums lookup lists the current floor in 55 currencies, by optimization goal.
If the point of measuring is more direct bookings, the OTA commission calculator shows what commission on your current OTA volume costs per year, and what a shift to direct keeps after marketing costs.
